Description
Advantage Play™ is the ultimate weapon that every leader and executive must grasp in the war for an unfair, competitive advantage.
This is a collection of strategies that enable the Advantage Player™ to know what is likely to happen next. Unlike most people who react to their circumstances, Advantage Players™ predict, plan for, and capitalize on their knowledge of likely outcomes.
If this seems mythical or magical, it’s not. It’s all about strategy, systems, tools, awareness, and sensitivity. While most people enjoy the sunshine, unaware of a storm that will roll in tomorrow, the meteorologist can predict with uncanny accuracy when the weather will change so we can plan accordingly. “Predictive” situations exist all around us so isn’t it time that you put Advantage Play™ to work for your company and get the edge so you can make winning inevitable.
Consider this, 7 people are sitting at the blackjack table. 6 of them don’t know what they are doing for dinner or what they had for breakfast while one person knows so much about what’s happening that he/she knows what cards are most likely to come out of the deck next – allowing them to adjust their bets accordingly. Life and business are like this too. The goal is to turn the 6 people into Advantage Players™ who, like a weather professional, can see what is right in front of them and likely to happen, but that few people see.

It’s a well-known gambling adage that “the house always wins.” But there are a few elite players casinos fear. Security is under strict instructions to watch out for them and eject them if they enter. These ninjas of the gaming tables are known as “Advantage Players™ (APs).” Experts at games designed to be unbeatable like blackjack, they’ve cracked the code on how to beat the house by combining superior skill, lightening insight, and razor-sharp instinct, winning when the biggest bets are on the table.
APs know how to beat the system by working it to their advantage. An Advantage Player™ and expert blackjack player himself, Joel Block has adapted and parlayed these skills, attitudes, and philosophies to the world of business, defying the odds in venture capital and hedge funds where he has examined over 1,000 companies, been a part of over 40 projects, participating in opportunities worth over $1 billion dollars. He generously shares his wisdom, mesmerizing audiences with keynote speeches and media appearances.
As an AP, Joel isn’t welcome in Las Vegas casinos. But if you want to master Advantage Play™, the art of knowing what comes next, you should welcome him into your business and your life. While Advantage Play™ is applied by few, it’s learnable. Joel shares the skills, perspectives, and attitudes of the AP so you can perform at the highest level in all you do, every time, because for the AP, winning is inevitable.
