Description
It’s impossible to pour from an empty bucket, as the old saying goes. Unfortunately, many (maybe most?) of us continue to try. We see ourselves as magicians, as alchemists – seemingly able to conjure up “more” – more energy, more focus, more time. And – it works – but only for a short time, and only for short bursts. It’s not sustainable – no matter how smart, skilled, or tenacious we are.
If we should have learned nothing else during the previous three years, our productivity and satisfaction are linked directly to the type and level of energy we’re able to bring to our work, to our relationships, and to ourselves. If we’re “done” (or whatever expression you prefer – “I’m toast.” “I’m fried.” “I’m out of gas…”), our bodies signal us that it’s time to refresh, reset and recover.
Instructor: Bob Tipton
Bob Tipton is a high-energy, innovative and insightful transformational change architect, leadership facilitator, executive coach, keynote speaker and author who is passionate about helping individuals, teams and entire organizations reach for and achieve exceptional results. Further, he is a practicing consultant and CEO of Team Tipton, a certified B Corp (only one of about 5,000 worldwide); an organization that is committed to driving and sustaining transformational change in organizations the serve humanity and the greater good.
He is an expert at transforming organizational cultures that suffer from status quo bias, from inattention blindness, or from other limiting beliefs. Through Team Tipton’s highly-participatory and high-expectation approach, he helps teams quickly build psychological safety as the foundation to: 1) unlock and then leverage the latent talent, wisdom and perspectives already within an organization and 2) open themselves to explore, evaluate and ultimately implement strategic approaches and industry best practices.
Healthy team dynamics and positive, productive energy (e.g., psychological safety, adaptability, nimbleness, resiliency) are required in the highest-performing organizations. Unfortunately, these attitudes are resisted most by those who have something to fear. With a game-changing approach toward driving “inside-out, bottom-up, AND top-down” strategic growth and positive culture shifts, the Team Tipton model has accelerated extraordinary outcomes for clients – in some of the most bureaucratic, institutionalized, entitlement-oriented industries like public education and federal, state and local governments.
Bob is also a former leadership and strategy instructor for the University of California, Irvine, the former president of the Institute for Certification of Computing Professionals, and a professional member of the National Speakers Association.
