Phillip Van Hooser brings a wealth of leadership information, experience and success with him to the platform every time he’s invited to speak or train. A former
Human Resources Manager in various Fortune 500 corporate manufacturing operations, Phil learned firsthand and early on the difference between leadership
philosophy — and leadership performance.
In 1988, Phil founded Van Hooser Associates, Inc., an organization dedicated to developing the practical skills of leaders everywhere. Over the past 29+ years, Phil has been invited to share his foundational message of personal leadership success — up close and personal — with individual leaders in more than 900 client organizations, on six continents, by way of more that 4,500 live presentations.
In 2010, Phil expanded his professional reach by founding Leaders Ought To Know, LLC, an organization dedicated to the delivery of online, on-demand leadership instruction. Since its founding, more than 150 educational / instructional / inspirational videos and learning activities have been developed and made available to a worldwide audience.

Phil doesn’t just preach leadership — he’s a practitioner. For the past twelve years Phil has served as an outside Director on a community bank board; he’s the former President of the Murray State University Alumni Association; he’s the former President of the National Speakers Association; he’s the founder of “Vision 2050,” an initiative for developing local leaders, he owns a large row crop farming operation; and he’s actively involved in various leadership roles in his community and church.
