Description
In today’s competitive environment, professional development for emerging leaders is mission critical. Senior leaders recognize it. Those early in their career expect it.
Workforce demographics have shifted. Baby Boomers are retiring and taking with them much needed leadership and management expertise. To fill this void, companies are asking people much earlier in their career to fill these open management roles.
Without the training they need to succeed as managers, the very high potential, high performers that you worked so hard to attract will struggle and might even walk out the door.
This program is designed to help equip high potential, high performers by providing new leaders and managers with skills and tools specifically designed to fill this knowledge gap.
Making the change from individual contributor to leader/manager is often not as easy as it appears. Succeeding requires skill, determination and precise execution every day. In this interactive program, Will teaches the participants the powerful combination of three Mission-Critical skills he has seen differentiate those who succeed consistently from those who have occasional success bracketed by poor results, frustration in team performance and inability to attract and retain new “A Players”.
Emerging leaders using what they learn in this training are not only more engaged and loyal in the firms that give them this professional development opportunity, they also possess the skills, internal network and mindset that they need to succeed and contribute to company goals faster.
Many times, these new leaders have been moved into management roles because they were exceptional in the individual contributor roles. Perhaps that were best in the company in their role as an engineer or as a sales person and the company looked at that and said, “Hey, we want more of our people performing at your high level delivering the same quality, dedication and results, now you are the manager! Go do it!
Immediately, these new managers find out the hard way that they don’t have the skills that they need to be successful.
That is the gap that this program is designed to fill for these emerging leaders.
Learning Objectives:
This program is designed to help emerging leaders:
- Accelerate their personal effectiveness as new and developing leaders
- Improve their communication skills and know how to build lasting rapport and loyalty with each of their key contributors
- Quickly and accurately identify the learning style, communication style, strengths and biggest fears of each individual on their team
- Be as strong at managing and leading as they were in their previous individual contributor role
- Knock back the feeling of overwhelm by giving them a structure and road map to succeed as a leader and manager
