Description
When it comes to leading effectively across differences, does your brain work for you or against you? Recent neuroscience research is shedding tremendous light on the brain and how the brain can trip us up, despite our good intentions to be inclusive.
As workplace demographics continue to dramatically shift, leaders need to develop a growth mindset and model inclusive behaviors to engage the workforce. As a leader, you play a key role in promoting and supporting respect and inclusivity within your work team. This engaging and interactive session will focus on the ways the brain is naturally wired that impact a leader’s ability to model inclusive behaviors, make inclusive decisions, and communicate effectively across differences.
You will learn practical brain-based tools and strategies to notice and override the brain dynamics that interfere with being inclusive to increase your ability to lead inclusively. You will learn and discuss key skills, tools, and strategies to manage your BrainState and foster a brain-friendly inclusive work environment. You will learn how to increase awareness and effectively manage the interplay of the brain, bias, and behaviors, and how to work with the brain to reframe and repattern your responses. You will leave with practical tools you can use as a leader to be more inclusive in your leadership and drive performance improvement, higher engagement, and create sustained behavior change to drive business outcomes and success.
